Free lunch or extra change with coupons:

Flyers for many restaurants often come out with buy 1 get 1 free coupons. Tell people in your college or workplace that you are going to to get lunch at one of these places. Take orders from people and their money for the orders. Use coupons for some of those orders. Pocket the difference or get extra food for people - they'll think you paid.

Several people to the movies for the price of two:

Go to the movies on busy nights in large groups. Two people buy tickets, enter the theatre. One person heads back outside with the two stubs and brings a third person in. Third person would exit with both stubs and bring a fourth person in. Repeat until all your friends are in the theatre for the price of two tickets.

BOGO ANYTHING FROM COSTCO: Buy a anything, but also make sure to stop by the food court on the way out. After finishing your food, go to the customer service desk and tell them you can’t find the receipt for the item, saying you Lucy have thrown it out with the food. They’ll check your membership card, see that you did indeed purchase whatever is in your hands, and print you a new receipt. Leave the store with the item, at which time the worker at the door will mark the receipt with a sharpie, making sure you don’t use it again. Now you have one receipt with a sharpied mark, and the original that you “lost”. Wait a couple hours for a shift change, go back in, find whatever you originally bought, and walk out with it, using the “lost” receipt. No one will think anything of it, and now you’ve got yourself a second item for free.

Starbucks employee here. The $100 bill method doesn’t usually work with us 100% of the time unfortunately. In those cases we’ll grab our manager and they will apologize to the customer but refuse to give a free drink. It also depends whether or not you want to go back to the starbucks you’re ordering from. The simplest way to abuse the system would be to walk in, especially when it’s super busy, and stand by the end of the bar where the drinks are being handed off. A lot of the time, we will have to call out somebody’s drink more than once because they didn’t hear their name called, or they went to the bathroom etc. Really all you have to do is wait until you see a drink that you like, and just take it if nobody else has.

On another note, starbucks does mobile orders, so people buy a drink over their phone and then come and pick it up. Just wait where those are handed off, find a few drinks you like, grab a tray and take off with drinks for everyone!

FREE ALIEXPRESS ITEMS: Buy a relatively cheap item, make sure it's not too expensive as to not attract suspicion. Wait until the item arrives, then you have a few options. If you feel like waiting, wait until 60 days has passed. Most sellers have a "receive in 60 days or full refund" policy. Simply open a dispute on the item and say it never arrived. You'll get a full refund and get to keep the item.

Or you can message the seller directly and say the item never arrived, or it arrived broken, or whatever. The seller will convince you not to open a dispute, and will instead refund you via PayPal, or send you another item for free. Either way you will win, somehow! I'm not advising anyone to do this, but I have a friend who has done this multiple times with cheap items and has always been successful.

The Superstore dog food trick is too complicated. Just stick stuff on the tray beneath the bottom of the cart and put a large bag of dog food on top.

They'll scan the bag without moving it if you point it out, and the items remain obscured until you're in the parking lot.

Every Panera has a shelf where they place food for fast pickup. It’s already bought and paid for so if you go during lunch/dinner you should be able to scan the receipts that are attached to the bags and grab whichever you like. The costumer who lost their food will at worst have to wait while the staff makes another order for them.

I wouldn’t try it more than a few times at any one location as I’m sure they will catch on quick.

Instead of ordering cheap shit on amazon, if you are in the states or possibly the UK or something, order an expensive airsoft gun and upon arrival claim it was defective. Due to the customs regulations on them in the states, amazon will just refund you the money and you can sell the replica firearm for $100+ online.

Note if you don’t have great credit with amazon I.e you constantly are returning shit, they may deny you eventually.

Free food from Panera

Order any sandwich that doesn't normally come with chicken, and add chicken to it. Panera has separate chicken for sandwiches and salad and look distinctively different. Don't specify which chicken you want when ordering and when you go to get the food, take it to your table, take 1 bite and go up to the counter saying you got the wrong chicken. I used to work for them and it's a company policy that the customer gets to keep both sandwiches if the 1st is made wrong. Don't do it too often otherwise they'll get suspicious. Enjoy double food!

Some fixes on OP's:

AMAZON RETURNS: will get your account deleted if you return too many items, so be careful if you pay for Prime (they won't refund you).

SENDING MAIL: Don't send it from your home or your mailman will report you for mail fraud. You have to drop it off in the big blue mailboxes. Also only works if you are sending mail to the same zip code, since the letter obviously could not have gotten far without a stamp. This one is especially illegal because getting caught lands you in fed prison, so be careful.

VIDEO GAMES: this one is listed twice for some reason.

MINI BAR: might not work in high end hotels, since they are likely to check that the items are sealed. In Vegas they also charge you if the item is taken out of its spot for more than 30 seconds, so pour it in a cup if you are going to attempt.

AIRLINE TICKET: this one is missing.

ANY MEAL: If you are an adult and dressed nice-ish you don't even need a bug. Just tell them "I've have been here many times and this is the worst the food has ever tasted." This will get you at least a discount/coupon, at best your meal comped. My grandfather is a champion at this and does it constantly.

FAST FOOD: I worked at Chick-Fil-A and they are not allowed to take back food that a client opened. If you nicely complain that they didn't make it right (just make up bullshit about toppings) they will be happy to get you another one free, so now you have two. If you are an asshole they will take your first item back and throw it in the trash though. APPROVED by me, since I saw it happen so many times.

FAST FOOD #2: Specifically at CFA, if you order something in the drive through and then act like you forgot your wallet they will often give you the item for free. Results vary on how nice the worker is, but they are usually pushover christians that are suckers for a friendly person. I have also heard a rumor that it works at Wendy's, but haven't tested it myself. APPROVED by me, since my boss specifically told us to do it.

DISCOVER CARD: The "return items and keep the cash back" works for gas too. When it's 5% cashback for gas you can go inside and tell the guy to put $100 on your pump. Lets say you then pump $30 of gas: the other $70 will be refunded, but you get the 5% on the $100, not the $30. This can be done several times in a row if you go inside and put $100 on, pump a few cents worth of gas in your car, put the pump back, then go inside and tell the guy that you accidentally put the pump back absentmindedly and put another $100 on the pump. Now you are getting 5% on $200, when you bought far less gas than that. (Note that there is a max amount you can earn back. I think it's 2 grand per "5% gas" cycle) TESTED AND APPROVED by me three years in a row now.

FREE FOOD: Soup kitchens, food banks, food pantrys. Sounds obvious, but people tend to look down on it and forget that free food is free food. I have volunteered at a soup kitchen several times and can confirm that one lady always wore nice clothes and was dropped off by a BMW, but she ate for free every Thursday and was never turned away.

FREE CLOTHES: find a local place where people drop off items for poor people (Sometimes it's a big metal box in a parking lot, sometimes you can just go to the drop off area of a Goodwill at night) and just pick up whatever items are laying around. Usually it's just clothes, but you may get lucky and find something better.

MORE FOOD: Many churches have potlucks every few months. You can get on the email lists of a few local churches and only ever show up when they say there will be food. Some smaller churches also have free food after every service, so you may be able to sneak in after it ends (usually 1 - 1.25 hours long services)

When on amazon, look for things with warranties. Some of these items you can buy then ask for a refund from the company after emailing them and giving the order code. Now you are refunded and have the item.

In my youth my buddy and I had a good liquor scam. One of us would grab a bottle of liquor from the shelf and take it into bathroom and hide it there. A few hours later, armed with an empty big gulp cup with a lid a straw, the other one would enter the store and ask to use restroom. Booze goes in cup, walk out of store, get drunk. Did this daily for the better part of a year. Never caught.

Some hotels have pressure or laser triggers, so once you lift the bottles out it counts it as a consumed product. Usually a casino thing, but still.

In Germany there is a big chain of Walmart-like Stores (but in way smaller and without food) called Tedi. When i started working there i was told that the customers could return any item, as long as it was bought in the last 6 months.

Now heres the kicker: they don't actually need any proof that you bought it. There are also only 2 employees per shift and almost no cameras or people who give a shit about the cameras. So you could steal some stuff and return it for the full price.

Even seen people do this with big stuff like microwaves and friers. In case you missed it in the beginnng: IN FUCKING GERMANY!

EDIT: They actually have one exception to this rule: lighters. For some fucking reason you can't return lighters at Tedi. Used Boxershort are fine tho.

FREE PRODUCE: works at grocery stores with self-checkout. Bag yourself some produce, do not take the pre-packaged ones though. A plastic bag of apples or mushrooms will not set off any alarms when you leave the store but the packaged ones with a bar code might. Take some other items to checkout so you dont arouse suspicion. Scan and pay for the regular items, but the fresh produce can either be "forgotten" in your cart or you can pretend to weigh and pay for them. Usually the self checkout lanes are supervised by just one employee, and as long as they aren't hovering over your shoulder they won't notice a couple bags of produce go unscanned.

Then about five minutes later approach the info desk and say that you actually dont have time for this movie at this time. They will most likely give you a re-admission ticket. ANY SUPERSTORE item scams: Go to your desired superstore and pick out your desired merchandise. Go to the dog food isle and find a big bag of dog food that you can most easily open and reseal. Open, put merchandise inside, buy dog food. For extra safety, get a cart, and get 2 of each desired item that you want. Get dog food and put one of each inside the bag. This way it’s not nearly suspicious as say you picked up $100 headphones went to the dog food isle and it disappeared, your still buying it and is hard to tell on camera how many you actually grabbed. Make sure put the merchandise in the bag of dog food in the dog food isle, no one steals dog food and it has minimal camera coverage and security measures compared to the whole store. Purchase your dog food and merchandise, now if an alarm goes off they won’t even check. If hey do, you have merchandise that could possibly go off anyway. Return your duplicates of your desired merchandise for a full refund whenever you feel like it. I’ve worked at many superstores, they won’t check the dog food haha. Tested and approved by yours truly.

Different ideas for free weed?

If you want free Domino’s: call early in the day and ask who the manager will be in the evening from a phone that isn’t yours and then when they tell you say thank you and hang up. Then, call back a little later and say something along the lines of:

“hi, last Tuesday I placed an order at your location, but both pizzas I received had the wrong toppings. I called back and talked to (manager you just learned the name of) and (s)he said I could call back and get those pizzas remade”

They’ll probably ask what night you ordered and ask what phone number you placed the order from. Just play dumb and say “last Tuesday” or any day of the week and say it was the phone number you’re calling from. They’ll probably put you on hold and go get a manager. The manager will ask what the toppings were on your pizzas and then make them for you for free. If you want them delivered they’ll probably charge you for the delivery fee but besides that you should be good to go!

Don’t repeat the process too many times at the same location or they’ll basically flag your phone number. Good luck and enjoy the free pizza

Go to any McDonalds store and order anything with a cup of soda, then go back and say that they got you wrong and that you didn’t want the cup of soda but instead you wanted two of that exact same thing. You’ll not only get to keep the cup of soda but you’ll also get that other thing for free! Tested and worked more than 10 times at different McDonalds stores. (The logic behind this is that they dont return the soda).

2-PART TRADING CARD MONEY SCAM: You'll need a precise portable scale and a bag resealer (for part 2). Go to any superstore. Weigh card packs for TCGs that have holofoil rares, which are ideally worth more $ (this depends on the TCG, I went with Yu-Gi-Oh at the time); Walmart employees generally don't care since you're not stealing anything. Cards with holofoil in them will consistently weigh more than packs which don't. Buy the heaviest packs. If you want you can just use this method to get more rare cards and resell them to players/collectors for cash. This is good enough if you know the game well enough to trade/sell cards.

Part 2: Go home and carefully open the sealed bottom end without ripping any of the pack. Take out any cards worth anything, then replace them with cards worth significantly less. Then use the bag resealer to seal the bottom of the pack back up. You can then return the packs to Walmart ("I got them for my nephew but it turns out it was the wrong type...") or sell the packs elsewhere (though beware if you sell to people consistently, they'll start to catch on when they have no luck getting anything good from you). Sell the valuable cards you kept for $$$.

Honestly a friend of mine has returned open packs to Walmart and bought boxes of packs at the cost of one pack by closing the display box and going to checkout with it (it won't be in their system and so the clerk just asked how much the sticker said). Most employees generally won't care or know anything about card games to know when you're doing something wrong anyways.

Publix will pay you $10 to get a flu shot, visit all Publix’s in your area and get free money from multiple shots.

Well this is one of the trashiest posts I’ve seen. I get being broke, I’m broke. I’m sure as hell not going to resort to lying stealing and cheating my way through life.

You can go to Dunkin' Donuts near closing time (~11:30ish) and get either free or heavily discounted donuts, since they'd just throw them out anyway otherwise. Tried and tested many times by yours truly. It's not even illegal or even unethical, but it fits this post's theme of getting free stuff.

At Walmart, get anything on clearance. Take your full price item and find an item in clearance with comparable price and carefully pull the sticker off. Slap that baby on your full price item, and damage the packaging a little bit. Go to self checkout and when the item rings up full price, just say “Ma’am, this item is on clearance but rang up full price.” She fixes it and you walk away. Tried & tested by me 10+ times. Never been checked before.

I work at a University Bookstore and that's real cute. Students only donate their books when we'd give them nothing, they sell books for $2 because they don't want to walk them to a different buyer. I occassionally sort those bins and ship the books out to be pulped, and I found an Iron Man notebook w/ fun-facts and a crossword. That's the level of things you'd find

Depending on the hotel you’re staying at the free liquor one won’t work. Many hotels actually have electronic scales built into the bar. It will be able to tell any difference in weight and you will be charged.

My favorite one to do is GAMEFLY.COM. All I normally do is sign up for a trial get a game normally then return it asap. Wait for the next game and just tell them it never got here. I've never had them not ship out another game. All they say is that if you sees it to mail it back. I end my trial and usually come out 1-3 games richer. You can also do this I feel with a constant membership as well and just say every now and then your mail was stolen or it just didn't arrive.

I used to do this when I was a younger idiot for cheap beer or to make money buying people beer.

At Walmart or whatever large grocery store with self checkout, take the bottom corner of the case where the barcode generally is and tear a big enough hole to expose the barcode on the can inside but not destroy the case. You may have to spin the can to get the bar code facing out. Leave one case untorn or get a tall boy or 6pack. Head to the self checkout and the first one you scan should be the untampered case. The attendant will walk over and check your ID then give you free reign to ring up the rest of the beer unattended. This is when you scan the other cases you tore open. They will ring up as 6 packs instead of cases.

I would do this for friends when I was underage with a fake ID. They'd give me the quantity of cases they wanted for their parties, I'd get my 6 pack of craft beer ring that up first, then scan the cans inside the cases and pocket their money only paying $7-$8 for each case that they gave me $15-$20 for each.

Make money and get my beer for free.

I have a better way to get free food, and I'm only sharing it to help those who might be struggling, because it's the only way I was able to eat for a period of time.

All you have to do is call a fast food place and tell them they got your order wrong, heavily implying you'd like to come right back and get the right order.

They'll inevitably ask if you have your receipt, which is the part where you'll have to come up with a convincing story on why you lost it.

Sometimes it doesn't work, and you really shouldn't argue or be rude at that point.

But if you can get an optimistic, customer service oriented manager on the phone, it's not too hard.

FREE PIZZA scam. Call a pizza place preferably a big chain as they will be easier and ask to speak with a manager. Tell them you ordered a pizza a couple nights ago that mistakenly came with mushrooms or anchovies to which you are extremely allergic to. Tell them you were at a party and used the landline and don’t know the number or remember the address when they ask. Then tell them you had to rush off to work and didn’t get to have your dinner or have time to reorder and were hoping they could compensate for messing up your order. Usually they will do whatever it takes to keep the customer happy.

This should be on a pastebin.

FREE FAST FOOD - call your closest store (McDonalds, KFC etc) and tell them you ordered a large McChicken meal and received a medium cheeseburger meal (burger in the "large" meal should be whatever you want to eat).

If they ask for a receipt, say you didn't get one. If they ask if you went counter or drive thru, say drive thru. If they ask for a license plate, say you are driving a work car you don't usually drive. They might ask for your details, but otherwise they will say to mention your me to the manager best time you are in for a free replacement. Just say "I'll be there in half an hour". Boom. Free meal. Tested multiple times, at multiple stores in multiple states over a 12 month period.

Also works with ordering online pizza. You order and say you'll pay cash, when the delivery driver gets there, you say you paid online. They will call their manager, 9/10 times the manager will say to give you the food. If they want to speak to you, tell them they can either give you the food "you paid for" or reimburse you out of the driver's pocket. You will get the food 100% of the time, but your address or mobile number will be blacklisted for future orders.

The Starbucks one is BS

If you want free stuff from Dunkin, you can hang around in the morning and wait for an On The Go order to be made and put on the counter with the PINK receipt. You can just walk up and take it no questions asked (everyone is too busy to check you) and leave the pink receipt for when the actual customer comes so they can get what they wanted. I post this because Dunkin is a scummy company and has treated friends of mine unfairly.

Lots of hotels have weight sensitive bar fridges. You get charged for opening them, touching bottles

ILPT: If your pet goes missing, and you suspect it's because it was stolen, put up posters advertising a massive reward.

When they try to get the reward, invite them into your home with the pet as you "go to grab money", thanking them the entire time.

Come back with some friends and weapons instead and tell them if you see them in the same neighbourhood again you'll kill them.

I have personally witnessed the parking strategy failing to work at a garage gate for a movie theater, so it isn't just Vegas that has figured out this scam. Also I have no personal knowledge of the Redbox one, but Redbox has to be one of the biggest purchasers of video games in the US. It would shock me if they didn't have some kind of serial number or marking system to prevent theft like this, and Game Stop would certainly be one of the main places they'd employ to detect such theft. While you were standing in line the cops would show up and best case scenario you get caught trying to sell stolen goods, worst case they find out you've defrauded your credit card company.

All the ones about tricking coin machines will do nothing but destroy the machine. And what kind of gumball machine contains plastic balls of money? I've never even heard of that.

Most of these boil down to: "Want something for free? Steal it!" Or "lie to huge corporations that have entire departments devoted to investigating the exact type of fraud you're trying to commit!" "Want some free money? Steal a fucking dog! Genius!"

The only reliable way I've found to get "free" money quickly is plasma "donation" centers; they pay you, at least where I am, an average of $30-60 to withdraw your blood, take the plasma, and put the blood back into you in a process that takes roughly an hour. If you're that hard up for cash, Google plasma donation in your area. Most of these pro-tips have an absurdly high risk-to-reward ratio.

They've since changed their policy but just a few years ago, Nordstroms would give you CASH back without a receipt and they had no limit on how many returns you could do. Sometimes I would walk in and just take something from the rack that had been returned (it had to have the return sticker on the tag, and most of the time they forgot to put a security sensor back on) and just walk it right up to a counter and return it for cash. I probably got about 30 thousand from returns in a year. I was deep in an active addiction though so I didn't mind the risk.

Not illegal, but don't donate blood when they go to universities/workplaces to collect. At least in my country you can get money for donating blood, look it up online. Also no health risks, since they don't let you donate too often, and everybody will think of you as a hero. Here you can make 1000 euros a year easily.

Ordered something that was 10-15$ on Amazon and got a refund immediately no questions asked. I legit did want a refund because I accidentally ordered the wrong item. So it doesn't only work with 5$ items.

Idea: Whenever you go out somewhere (works better with entertainment venues or camps) ask to see their lost and found bin. You could claim that you lost something recently (or a few months ago depending on the venue) and take things out of the lost and found bin. I've done this several times at different locations, chances are that the lost and found is pretty old, so they'll be more than willing to get rid of the stuff. This tip is great if you like to collect water bottles/nalgenes or sunglasses or something else.

Get a roll of standard tickets from the dollar store (the ones usually red that say “admit one”, I got a roll of 1000 for $3) next time you go to a fair or other small event bring a bunch. Gets me and my friends $30 worth of burgers every year at the school fall fair.

Another one is at the grocery store, put the wrong code on the twist tie of a bulk bag. If the product is similar enough (both candy or both nuts or whatever) this can save you a good amount of money. Most of the time the cashier plugs it in and doesn’t look twice. But if you DO get caught, it’s super easy to cover up since it is a similar product. (You can easily just say “oh shit I was looking at the wrong bin” no problem

Order something heavy and claim you got the wrong product or claim it to be defective. They will refund the money and you get to keep the item since you would lose too much money by having it returned due to shipping costs.

I haven’t done this, but got accused of it. I regularly low ball tons of people the night before a big game for tickets (like they’re insulted, it’s so low). Almost every time, people message me within hours of the game because they couldn’t sell their tickets. I go to the game for cheap.

But one time, I was engaging two people, and after I already got a ticket and was in the stadium, I asked the other person where their seats were and they told me. Then they started cussing me out and telling me they’d sue me, because they thought I was in their seats (even though my seats were better).

But I realized, instead of taking a strangers seat and hoping they don’t come, haggle with somebody last minute who is trying to sell good seats, and you’ll know you can claim them confidently.

Buy a sixpack and go trough the self service thing in a grocery shop, scan only one of the cans that show the barcode under the plastic wrap and pay only for one of the six or however many cans
