Why would you waste a perfectly good piece of paper like that? You can write on the other side of the sheet first and then burn it. I find myself constantly appalled at how much people just throw away without considering the cost.

My fiance actually did propose with a twist tie, and I kept it. Fortunately he actually had a ring that was his mom's so it was free and can be used to buy many lentils if the need arises.
Looks good, but over time it will wear out and you'll have to think about replacing it. Spend the extra money on something more sturdy, like a paperclip. Remember: sometimes opting for quality is frugal in the long-run.
