The subtle ones are what still get me.

They'll be objectively the unfunniest thing anyone could ever see, but occasionally some stupid 4 year old level of humor will make me cry laughing before bed.

Yeah it doesn't happen too often but sometimes I just lose it.

My favorite one was an Askreddit thread about who had the worst/best Wikipedia photo. The whole thread was amazing but someone suggested this guy https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Danton The next comment was "It looks like his head is in italics".

I was fucking gone. I still laugh every time I think about it.

I remember one AMA where a porn star was the guest, the questions were so elementary and stupid but it was the conversations that unfolded after each question that got to me. I remember laughing uncontrollably.

The level of humor also varies from person to person since they could be in a serious mood, reading a serious post, then someone down the chain of comments makes an uncalled for dick joke and it just breaks some people.

Me and my roommate had a night where we were incredibly stressed and tired and I called him over to look at the top posts of /r/hmmm. Same here. A recent example I remember was when there was a post about the black and white Logan movie coming out. Someone said their dog already saw it, someone else had a long, technical answer about dogs not being completely color blind and details about what they see. The response was something like "I know, but he went to an advanced screening last week." I haven't laughed that hard at a comment in a while and told my friend about it the next day and he just said, "that's pretty funny."

I heard "OP" as overpowered before I heard it as Original Poster. For overpowered, it would be confusing to say it as "awp" because that's a gun in CS:GO, a context where one might use the term "OP".

I say it "awp" because there's also the gaming abbreviation "O.P." (over powered). I say them differently to differentiate them and also because "OP" ("awp") used to be a term that was short for "operator" as in the person in control of something. Since the thread belongs to the OP, that sorta makes sense.

As far as I'm aware there isn't another common meaning for IRL other than In Real Life. There's actually a handy dandy list of common acronyms a few scrolls down on this FAQ page. Hopefully it comes in use for when you come across other things like this. :)
