But, the entire song is a conversion he was having with the guy. We literally hearing the other guy talking to Shaggy and telling him everything he did. Also, it isn't like there was every a mystery that needed solving. They dude admits to cheating at the end and there is also video evidence (according to the song) of his infedelity.

I am not saying the song is real. In fact, I am pretty sure the entire song is not real. I'm pretty neither Shaggy nor his friend was in a situation where their girl walked on in on them fucking their neighbor in the shower, heard everything he told her, got it all on video, and then tried to deny it. I'm pretty sure the whole song is made up. My point is, in the context of the song he is having a conversation with a friend who is specifically asking him for advice about what to do. So within the context of the song, it makes no sense to make a joke article (this article is a joke, not an actual interview) about it being him, because there were never accusations of it being him. That was the advice he was giving to his friend in the song.

Exactly. I feel like the only way this joke is funny is if you never actually listened to words beyond the chorus. Shaggy was never the one in the song that was accused of cheating and there was no mystery to be solved because the dude admits everything to his girl at the end of the song.
