I grew up near there. The school didn't actually segregate the prom. Parents would host their own "party" the same night of prom, but invitations were bias to a certain demographic.

I went to high school in Mississippi. My 20 year high school reunion was segregated. I graduated in 1985.
In other words, there was a "white" reunion in 2005 and a regular reunion in 2005 which everyone who isn't crazy attended.
