Possible website bug?

Is it normal for Minecraft accounts to be unable to change their date of birth? The "birthdate" on my account is wrong but I cannot edit and change it to the correct date of birth on the mojang website settings tab. Seems kind of weird that we are able to change our email, password, and security but not our birthdate... I understand if it's not that big of a deal regardless since it's just on the account profile information but if it could have consequences on my account in the future then would you please respond with the proper steps that I need to take in order to resolve this issue?
