purchaning minecraft

I've been trying to purchase mine craft java edition on my computer. After i put in my card information and click on purchase it says that "an error has occurred while placing your order, please verify credit card information and try again" and so i double check my information and try again but it continues to do this and i have enough money in the account an my card is enabled to do online transactions but it does not let me purchase it.
