Users can be forced to watch or vote for an issue using a link

Example:

If you click this next link you will be forced to vote for an issue:

This can easily be shortened to look like a normal issue link: MC-194375

(That link will force you to watch the same issue as before)

 

Since there are no notifications and you will be taken to the same issue as requested, users will notice no difference, but the issue will gain a ton of votes and watches

 

This can be placed in comments on issues, and potentially discord, where users will unknowingly be forced to watch a bunch of issues. IDK whether this is a Mojira issue or a Jira issue

 

Note: These links may no longer be working due to the token expiring. But, if the user has the valid token for this and is updating the issue, this can still be achieved
