Re-buying minecraft

After I bought minecraft, I wanted to get a custom skin. I found a few off of https://www.minecraftskins.com// After I found a skin, they requested I signed in to my mojang account. I created a new one using my microsoft account. However, they requested that I re-bought minecraft to equip the skin even though i had alreay bought it from microsoft store with the same account.
