Minecraft Capes Getting Redeemed

Here is a bug probably worth patching,

Mojang had made capes invalid and now they can't be redeemed. This is not true however, I was apart of the community that has worked to come up with a workaround to this issue. I have since had a change of heart after seeing how this powerful utility was being used. This exploit is a very tricky one to explain so i will do my best and encourage anyone to ask questions.

When we take a traditional cape "code" ( just another fancy way to say redemption link) Such as we see here: https://minecraft.net/redeemCape/MmVkMGJiZDZmMWY5NGFkNmFhYzBiOGIxOGQxNmRmMWI%3D

When we try to click it, nothing happens. This was apart of Mojang's original goal. However this can be bypassed very easily by doing the following. First, you must take the token out from the link: "MmVkMGJiZDZmMWY5NGFkNmFhYzBiOGIxOGQxNmRmMWI". This Token is what will let you redeem the cape onto your profile. So we take this token and place it into a program that will decode the token in Base64. This gives us a new revived token: "2ed0bbd6f1f94ad6aac0b8b18d16df1b". However the old link format will not work with Mojang's new system. This brings us to the second and lest step in re-activating unredeemed Minecon codes. You must place the token onto a new link format. The new format is seen here: "https://my.minecraft.net/en-us/profile/redeemCape/" Now when you place the new token in the new link you get a fully redeemable cape code. as we see here: https://my.minecraft.net/en-us/profile/redeemCape/2ed0bbd6f1f94ad6aac0b8b18d16df1b

Now please keep in mind I used a pre-redeemed cape code as to avoid anyone from taking a cape code for themselves. This issue will work for any year from 2012 to 2016. The code shown was an activated 2015 used for demonstration purposes. Please do not contact me asking for a cape code as well as when this bug report was posted, I have used all My redeemable and reactivated cape codes and I have none left, nor do I wish for anyone to get more.
