Minecraft username issue

If this may be read,

Put simply there is an issue with my ability to change my username from "SuperSkrap" to "_Skrap" and I believe it's caused by an underlying censorship issue.

I've always wanted to change my username from SuperSkrap to a name closer to Skrap or Skrap Metal but i've always believed these names were taken as in the minecraft.net username change option under the profile settings would always say username unavailable. Now, when I try to find these players using various methods, such as skin lookups and server history, these profiles don't exist at all. Yet, these names aren't available so I got thinking. After a while I came back to change my name but instead of names I wanted I followed them with Skrap. And, Always everytime, the name is not available. My current conclusion of this stems from censorship because the only letter of the word "Skrap" that can be removed with the profile not existing yet unavailable is "S." I am asking for help as there is no intention of using profound language in my username, and I want to at least try for help despite finding on Mojang's FAQ that if the username is unavailable there isn't anything they will do to help me out (I'll attach a screenshot of this)
