Can not sign into my Microsoft account

Was able to log into my Microsoft account one time and ever since then when I try logging back in I get a message that says,”failed to log in, we tried to sign you into your Microsoft account, but something went wrong.” Any advice as to what’s happening? I also can’t clear out my account info so I can try a fresh new sign in, it just stays like that..
