restore purchase locks up

I purchased "Smash by Pathway Studios" for $4.99.  The transaction claimed to be completed, the payment was taken, but the pack still shows unpurchased.  The "Restore Purchases" button does not fix it.  When I try to but it again, it says "This In-App Purchase has already been bought, It will be restored for free".  However, Minecraft then locks up at the "Purchase in progress, This shouldn't take long" screen.  It can stay locked on that screen for hours, never completing.  Please see attachments.
