system of controlling when a person is under 13 and when not.

I tried to play realms with my friends. I have never tried it before, but when i click on relms in-game, it tells me i need parental consent. I read about it and it should only be a thing for people under an age of 13 years old. I'm 14 and i have written my true date of birth on my account so i should not have to receive a request for parental consent. I feel like this is a bug so please fix it.
