TRASH-36516

Anvil removes § and colored name when re-editing items.

When editing an item on an anvil that has a § and colored name it is removed.

I thought that it would have kept the § and its color.

I gave an item with a § colored name another enchantment and it took the § color away leaving only the letter or number used to create the color with the §.

Requirements: 3RD Party program such as NBT Explorer/Editor that can edit inventory or items! Here is the forum link for NBT Explorer/Editor where I downloaded it.

http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-tools/1262665-nbtexplorer-nbt-editor-for-windows-and-mac

How to replicate!
1. Name an item on an anvil then exit the world and open the NBT explorer/editor.
2. Choose the world with the named item then click the level.dat file and then choose data.
3. Scroll down to player and open it then scroll down again to inventory.
4. Click Inventory then find the item you named and choose tag then display and double click the Aa file with the items name in it.
5.Copy the § and put a number in front. for example §5 will make the items name purple.
6.Once making the name have a §5 or any other color hit the save button in the left hand corner underneath edit.
7. Now go back into minecraft and enter the world.
8. The item you named should now be colored.
9. Place the colored named item in an anvil and add an enchantment to it. You will see that it looses the names color and will only leave the letter or number used to color the item behind.
P.S I added some screenshots of it happening!

Please fix this. Some may not consider it as a bug but it definitely should be fixed or make minecraft allow the §. You can always email me any information if you wish at lukesta10@hotmail.com

Regards, Luke.
