Carrot bug

What I expected to happen was...:
I was farming carrots in my temporary house and expected carrots to stay in their place
What actually happened was...:
Describe what happened here
the carrots would drop after a couple seconds or if i put another carrot in next to it
Steps to Reproduce:
1. I attached a screenshot
2.remake the scene to the best of your ability
3. In the one unfilled tilled dirt block place a carrot it should drop as well as the one to the left
