windows 10 minecraft v1.2.10 closes itself as it is trying to load a world

windows 10 minecraft v1.2.10 closes itself as it is trying to load a world. this has been going on for months in older worlds my kids have spent a lot of time building and also new ones they created to test if the same problem occurs. please help!
