Not letting me join realms

I cannot join realms as it is saying I am playing in a realm even though I am not. It isn't possible that I'm playing on a different device as I have Netflix on the only other thing I play Minecraft on which is my Xbox. And nobody else has access to my Xbox live account so I do not know what the issue could be
