"MEQS" - the Mojang Easy Query System

Many open tickets can probably be resolved easily because those are trivial fixes or unclear to the mods if things are working as intended or not.

To aid finding those tickets in the mass of open tickets the MEQS - Mojang Easy Query System is implemented. Mods: If you have anything to add besides a MEQS_ tag, please do so in a separate private comment. This way Mojang can delete MEQS_ comments without removing whatever you added.

Usage:
Tickets should get a "staff" restricted comment with the keywords

  • MEQS_BLOCKER - "if you don't fix this before the release it will fuck with worlds after the release and fixing it after the release would be a giant hack and/or break more things" ™[Mod] redstonehelper
  • MEQS_WAI - Likely Working as Intended – keep the ticket unresolved in the meantime unless another mod is very sure that it is intended. Also be sure to differentiate from MEQS_WONTFIX
  • MEQS_TRIVIAL - A really trivial fix (from mods' POV)
  • MEQS_CODE - A ticket that contains a fix or code analysis
  • MEQS_TEST - A request for any mod to try to confirm the issue (either to confirm, to resolve as Cannot Reproduce, or to see if the issue is still current) e.g. for people with Realms access to test Realms management bugs
  • MEQS_REGRESSION - A bug that was once fixed and (after the arrival of an update or shapshot) no longer is
  • MEQS_WONTFIX - A bug that is, from mods' POV, unfixable or not worth fixing
  • MEQS_KEEP_PRIVATE - An issue that should have a "Private" security level, such as "Minecraft - Private". Primarily used to find issues that users have set to the wrong security level.
  • MEQS_KEEP_AR - To prevent the bot Arisa from automatically reopening a report resolved as "Awaiting Response", see GitHub issue.
  • MEQS_DUPE - An issue that probably duplicates another, but the parent issue couldn't be found.
  • MEQS_REVIEW - An issue that was closed/resolved (but not fixed), but the mods think Mojang should have another look.
Note to moderators: Please always leave a review reason in a separate, private comment.
Note to Mojang: Please always leave a comment when working through these if possible.
  • MEQS_REVIEWED / MEQS_CHECKED - To signify that the ticket has been reviewed by Mojang.
  • MEQS_TRIAGE - An issue that the moderator adding this tag deems important, which has not been triaged yet (Mojang Priority is empty)
  • MEQS_ADO_REGRESSION - for bugs that appear to be regressions or need relogging in ADO; to be assessed and addressed as part of the regular (Mojang) workflow.

If you wish to provide additional information (suggested fix, reason for tag) please do so in a separate "staff" restricted comment so tags can easily be removed without affecting anything else you provided.

Note you may want to further restrict by project

By issuing the queries Mojang can browse through this tickets and resolve as WaI / fixed or remove the comment

The MEQS dashboard has a handy overview over most of filters
