Iron Golem farm stopped working

I own a Realm and play survival 1.18.  I and several others have played in the world for some time now and I built an iron farm in it.  It was working great.  However it has stopped working since I changed the difficulty to peaceful for about 24 hours while others played in the world.

After returning to play and resetting to normal difficulty it has stopped working.  I have tried resetting to hard then peaceful and also trying peaceful to hard.  Nothing works.  

On a side note: I have also experienced villagers at my zombie spawner farm randomly disappearing even though they have been traded with.  I thought maybe this had happened at the iron farm so I downloaded the realm game to my PC and in creative mode, added several villagers to the iron farm to see if some were indeed missing, but it made no difference.  Is this a bug?
