Sign bug only in realms

Whenever I place a sign and have text in it and put glow ink on it, it makes all the text dissapear, this only happens to me on realms and after being on the realm for 20 minutes. I have to leave the realm and join back to fix the bug for 20 minecraft. Please fix this, Thanks
