Unable to do anything in my Realm

It takes a little while to sign into my realm. I can't do anything there. I can't open a chest. I can't craft or use a furnace. I can't open my inventory menu. Blocks I mine just disappear and do not drop anything. And then after a couple of minutes, I am disconnected from the server. 

I have the same results when I play on my Xbox one X or my Nintendo Switch. I have reset my internet equipment with no change. I have power cycled my consoles.
