Lagging and not able to do anything but walk around

First off I hope I did this right!!

Every time I log into Realms it starts lagging, than it won't let me open chest, make things, mine absolutely nothing but walk around. When I log out and try to log back into my realm it won't let me. My internet is amazing I have never had problems with it.
