Unable to connect to World on realms

Since the Xbox live servers crashed yesterday we have been unable to access our realm server we had worked for days on this as a team of two couples and this has upset us all ... I am the owner of the realm and I am very disappointed in this service I am currently on the free trial and we planning on continuing my subscription but if my World won't load for me or my friends I don't see the point in paying... when I try and load the world I get the message 'unable to connect to World' ...
