Realms not connecting on Switch and the help page is no help!

None of my friends or I can connect to Realms. We have tried the help page and it does not connect. I have not  even able to get in for a week. I got in once but everything was unusable as I was trapped in my house. Blocks disappeared as I hit them and I eventually was kicked out and disconnected. My friends experience the same issues. I notice a lot of people on Twitter are also voicing their issues. I am in college and would like to decompress with one of my favorite games in the realm I share with friends.
