Can't extend realms as given an error

When I went to minecraft.net and tried to extend a previous realm, I wasn't able to purchase it for some unknown reason. But when I go to click the checkout button it just gives me an error. For a little bit of context, I am from Jersey channel islands. I've tired various different bank cards but none of them worked. They all gave me the same error.
