Armor Stand Bug

Me and my friends share a realm together and two of my friends have not so good computers one of them being me. And yesterday we were paying on the server and suddenly all of our framerates dropped astronomically. So then we tried to figure out what happened. We went into spectator mode and found out there was clusters of half way invisible armor stands and we realized that the armor stands were making our game lag. So is there any fix to this? Or at least a explanation. Thank You.
