Get "Unable to connect to realm, please try again later".

Okay so I saw this half broken nether portal which I may have caused due to me logging out with a farm active. The portal was rapidly switching on and off to make the farm work. Now when I saw it i jumped to the unlit side and it did nothing

The game breaking part about this is that when I stood in the unlit part I couldn't join back in. Whenever I tried to join the realm it was connecting to the realm and didn't change from there. It would kick me back to the realm selection tab with an error message that read something like this: "unable to connect to realm. Try again later." 

The really bad part? This happened with everyone in the realm. 

My theory is that the code is confused and is trying to simulate both the overworld and the nether at the same time. The funniest thing about this is that I did it all by accident.
