Stuck on "Joining Realm, This may take a few moments."

Just bought a realm on a Nintendo switch for a buddy and I to play on like a week ago and haven't been able to play it a single damn time. We tried uploading a survival world we have been playing on a realm and no matter what we do we cannot join the realm after uploading the world. This is starting to get annoying and ridiculous honestly.

I've tried; Restarting the game, deleting and reinstalling the game, made multiple copies of the world, Tried it on PC, even followed the 10,000 different reddit post claiming of a solution. 

I honestly feel bad for the parents who spend their money on this for the kids and it doesn't even work.
