Deleted content

Hello,

My young son spent a considerable amount of time creating structures in one of his worlds. The game didn't allow him to log in, so he rebooted his iPad. When he logged in after that, much of what he built was deleted. Is there a way to go back to a previous version?  He is obviously very upset that he lost all the content that he put so much effort into.
