Mob spawn rate in the over world

Mobs such as creepers, witch's, and spider are spawning in the day time. Creepers are over powered beyond belief even on easy. It's like heat seek you from 15 blocks or more away. Spiders are attacking during the day when they never use to. My boyfriend and I are having this issue on the PlayStation 4.
