Failed to download realm, check your internet connection?

When uploading a world to my realm it said it failed to download and to check my internet connection, after this I tried to enter my realm. Every time I tried it just said connecting for 5 minutes until it finally said failed, I cannot replace the realm with a backup, upload anything or even close the realm.
