Realms not working: io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information

Tried to get on my own realm along with friends and we all had a error message pop up after loading for 2 minutes or so. the message was:
Failed to connect to the server - io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information.
