unable to change difficulty on the realm i own/permanently stuck on peaceful

since the 1.16.210 update i have been unable to change difficulty on my realm and have 50+ members on it from around the world so would very much like to know why when i change the difficulty nothing happens (i have peaceful days easy days and hard days but am currently stuck without mobs on peaceful)
i have tried changing difficulty on every device i have and have logged in and out multiple times and have even tried various /commands (my realm has acheivements on so /commands dont work anyway i knew this)
i was really hoping that this new 1.16.220 update would fix my issue but it hasnt so please fix this as i literally haev no idea what to do to rectify this issue
