Farming inconsistencies on Java Realms

Crops can't be planted in random blocks of farmland. Those blocks can be broken and interacted with but crops are unable to be planted on them even after breaking, replacing, and being hoed again. Some blocks surrounding it can be planted. The blocks affected seem to be random. It's like this for all the players on the realm.
