People cannot log on till owner does

Twice I've seen people not be able to join my world on Realms. When I log on it goes straight in and they join.

the first time it happened I checked the back up and there was no back up for last 12 hours even though we'd been playing.

This time back ups were working. Clearly causing issues and can't continue as will lose all players so could someone help me out please? Thank you.
