Stuck at "connecting to the realm" screen

Every time I try and join a realm it gets stuck at the connecting screen. I have troubled shooted the issue in every way I can think of. 

 

• i re-set my computer
• i uninstalled minecraft and re installed it
• I logged out and back in
• i left and re joined the realm
