Cannot Connect to Microsoft Account

I have been trying to link a Microsoft account to my Minecraft game on my Nintendo Switch. When I click the "Sign In To Microsoft Account" button on the bottom left of my screen it comes up and says Connecting..... but I never get a website and code to connect the account. It just goes back to the main Minecraft title screen. Does Anyone have any suggestions?

Here is what I have tried so far:

1. Closed Application and restarted it.
2. Cleared the Login Information, close application and restarted.
3. Deleted Application and reinstalled

Any help will be much appreicated.
