Realm keeps crashing with Nintendo Switch client

My realm keeps crashing when I spend any time near my main village. I am accessing the realm from bedrock v1.16.201 on a Nintendo Switch.

 

My username is Chris55975. The name of my realm is "Uncle Chris". The location where I hang out and crashes happen is the area around 659, 63, -213.

 

Usually the realm crashes un under 10 minutes, but certainly no longer than 30. I have noticed that if I go far away, I can easily spend over an hour with no crash. As soon as I go back to that area, it will crash fairly soon.

 

I am fairly sure that the realm is what is crashing because on my end I get a "disconnected from server" error. The reconnect is one of the longer connect times usually associated with the realm not being active, and when I get back in it has clearly restarted from a recent backup because some period of time has been lost and the world reverted to an earlier state from (roughly speaking) 10-30 minutes earlier.

 

I tried downloading the world to play locally on the Switch, and there are no crashes when it is played locally. After playing locally for over and hour, I tried uploading the local copy to the realm (using the "replace" realm option), but of course the realm upload fails instantly, which is still a common problem on the Nintendo Switch.

 

I believe that started on Jan 16, 2021.  If this doesn't resolve itself soon, a refund for lost time on the realm might be in order.
