Realm made my world not have achievments

I just created a realm because i thought it would be cool to make the survival world me and my friends had into a realm. However when i changed the survival world to a realm it made it so we couldn't get any achievements for the game. I don't know if this was some kind of glitch that happened or something but i am really not happy because achievements are the only way to prove to friends that your world is an actual survival world. Without them it is completely useless to play Minecraft. I hope there is a way for you guys to change our world back to one with achievements.
