Minecraft realms doesn't work

I subscribed to realms, and ever since I purchased it, I have been having issues since. I have Minecraft pocket edition and so does my friend. Me and my friend have been trying to play but it does not let her join any of my worlds i created on realms. I can't even invite her, and it does not tell me she's online when she's on the game. It then ends up telling me I need to sign in my Microsoft account but Im already logged in.  I've done everything, from fixing my settings to going to Xbox live for help. Nothing worked, and it's so frustrating. Everything about the game is glitchy. This has been going on for days and I decided to just cancel my subscription, but now it's telling me that my subscription isn't active, I've looked everywhere on the game to cancel it and that's not even an option. I need help immediately. This is so ridiculous!
