Sorry we couldn't create your realm right now

Attempted to purchase a realm on Nintendo Switch and I received the message "Sorry we couldn't create your realm right now, check back later".  

It has been several days and I have not seen updated.

I previously created a 2 player realm to transfer some worlds, it is still there.  Could that have caused the issue?

Please help.
