Unable to connect to realm following the new update 1.16.100

Since updating to 1.16.100 i am unable to access my realm. I'm currently on Xbox One X, every time i try to log in into the realm i get a black screen and the game closes. It does it only on realms, i can play in single player or a local world, even join the servers. My friend on windows 10 can log in fine. I've tried to reinstall the game and clear the Cache on the xbox, nothing changed.
