Issue switching between survival and creative modes

I'm afraid this system is a little beyond me. I have no idea how to answer the questions above so I have guessed. I've been given this link by the minecraft help team. I'm playing realms with my daughters I own the realm on a android phone. My daughters play on ipads. 

 

We have played a lot in in both survival mode and creative mode. Most recently we have created a lot in creative mode that I don't want to loose. 

 

We now wish to change to survival mode. When I swap it my youngest daughter (the most recent to the game) swaps into survival but me and my other daughter stay in creative. I've tried this a number of times removing the app, clearing my cache, etc.

 

I pay a lot of money to have realms it's all ready been 2 weeks of not being able to use the realm. I would like this sorted out quickly.

 

I'm not exactly sure how this system works. Hopefully I will get an email and we can get this sorted by a more user friendly system. That is why I bought realms on the first place.
