disappearing items

I have spent countless hours collecting resources and curing zombie villagers maxing out their stats and creating a safe area for them were nothing can hurt them. Problem is every day another one randomly disappears put of thin air. I have named them to prevent despawning. Nothing has worked. On top of this random work stations have also disappeared, i.e anvils, map station and  Iron golems.
