Realms disconnect + rollback

I was playing with one other person on my Realm when we were both disconnected from the server. When we logged back on, we were in different places than we were when we had logged off. Upon further investigation, we were reloaded to a back up made nearly 15 minutes ago. I seemed to have lost one item that I knew was in my inventory at that time, an oak boat.
