I cant see some peoples chat and they cant see mine

So ive been playing on a realm and ive been trying to talk with the people on the realm but for some reason they cant see my chat messages and i can see theirs and ive trided going into the Microsoft: Privacy and Online Safety page but it takes me back to this page https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/family-online-safety/online-safety/manage-app-privacy-settings-xbox-one . Please help
