Ongoing Realm Connectivity Issue

For the last week I have been unable to connect to a friends realm. I have done the following to try and solve the issue:

• Leave then Rejoin Realm
• Reinstall Game
• Join Single player realm then try to join friends realm
• Cleared game cache in APP DATA folder

Nothing has been successful. I simply get stuck on the "Connecting to Realm" screen and I have let it sit for hours with no success.
