Connecting Issue

I've been trying to connect to a friend's realm for a long time today. I waited for about 20 minutes at first before restarting my laptop. I even tried multiple times, leaving the realm  and logging out of my account. However, it doesn't seem to work. The person who owns the realm doesn't have this problem. It might be because of the update, I've been informed, however I urge you to fix this problem. Thank you for your time.
