I am an operator in a friend's realm but I can't change any settings

My friends and I bought a realm, the problem here is that the owner gave me "operator" permissions, but I cant change anything (e.g. I can't change the world's difficult, I have to wait for the owner even tho I am an operator). This only happens on realms.
